I made a pumpkin to go along with my costume for party this weekend.
From within an hour on Saturday I was able to:
1.) Hunt down a pumpkin
2.) Create my template image
3.) Carve up this little bad guy Carlos
Okay engine.. take a big deep breath in.
Its not as loud as I was expected but the tone at WOT is a bit more fierce.
I made some pumpkin cheesecakes for Halloween party on Saturday. They look great, although need to be taste tested for quality assurance.

Earlier in the day I smoked three fresh steelhead that I got from up Erie over the weekend. Ricco is the man!
I used this brine recipe I found online. I soaked them over night, then dried them off in the morning and took them to work with me. Coated with honey and cracked pepper as suggested and smoked with hickory wood chips for roughly 7 hours. A fellow coworker brought in a two level electric smoker that worked great for this. Only have the before picture from when one was caught.
Most of the fish were still in the lake. Weather was nice and came home with plenty of steelhead.

While in Erie for the wine festival stopped at eriez speedway for a 100 lap race with no cautions except for fires or rollovers.
Was wild. You can see this disabled car that was there in that position for like 95 of the laps.
Was a last hoo raa for the series with the season ending the week before and a large pot of $1,000. This meant that several drivers took their cars past the brink for this high stakes race.
