I got this Red Prayer Plant from amazon back in the start of June.  It has been transplanted twice, this time to something it can really stretch out in.  Apparently I missed the fact that these raise their leaves every night.  I never did like reading lol  It was kind of a shock to me that they all started moving all of a sudden at dusk 🙂

This shot was taken every 10 seconds for like the whole day, I then rendered it at 60 frames per second to make it fluid.

Rode on Montour trail and stopped off at cecil to visit bedners farm got a great snack of some produce they sold. This place had some amazing pants. One for example they had bay leave plants. We had picked out a cantaloupe, amazing yellow cherry tomatoes, and purple pepper which enjoyed little picnic back on the trail. Sure beats working!

This little guy was sitting in bottom of tray cactus to get discarded. I asked something about the color and if it lasted they didn’t know as the greenhouse closed in several months. Was told that these will root on dry dirt?! Took this numb of cactus on ride of its life.

I need to remember to fight the urge to water it.

This video shows some shots of how this fire is progressing out of control. In the forest fire does turn a page for new beginnings, trying to control/contain this to save lives and structures is the challenge. It would be a wild adventure to be part of this team. Stay safe all involved.

The plant life looked cool on the ski lift down from kennywood free parking.

It’s a jungle out there, or it is at least how it looks from the picture.

It was an awesome show at this week’s Summer Concert Series. Galactic was amazing, featured singers were spot on that would not know there were not part of the band. First time at this venue I am a believer.

Picnic and field / tailgating was perfect way to hang out with friends before these guys put on this stellar show.

And free parking and free concert.. What else could you possibly need?

Took off work Friday to bike ride.  We camped Rockwood and went down to Confluence on Friday and back to Rockwood for a 40 mile loop. We camped at Rockwood and on Saturday we went the other direction past the Eastern Continental divide to the Big Savage Tunnel for a loop of about 43 miles.

Notice the ice on the bars and that yellow thing on the book bag. This is a dry sack or what macgyver minded people would call your minimalist cooler. my gimp skills are weak. 20130802_125905IMG_0785

This was half way through the second day, basically the spot we turned around.  Passing through the tunnel twice blaring out tunes through an external speaker from a phone.  awesome acoustics!
